Contract IT staffing · Columbus, Ohio · Nationwide
Senior engineers, on contract, at companies that cannot wait.
Bright IT places experienced consultants into long contracts with insurers, banks, health systems and retailers. Then we run the timesheets, invoices and paperwork behind them.

Why people come back
The next contract is usually not advertised.
Most of what we place is filled from people we have already spoken to. A client calls on Monday and wants someone by the end of the month — and the shortlist comes out of the conversations we had weeks earlier.
For companies
You have a role open
Send us the brief. You get a short list of people we have interviewed ourselves, with our notes on each. Not a stack of résumés forwarded from a database.
How we work with companies →For consultants
You want the next contract
We tell you the rate on the first call, not after three interviews. We call when there is a real role and a client ready to talk.
How we work with consultants →What we place
Mid to senior contract roles, on W‑2, C2C or 1099.
If it is not something we place well, we will say so rather than send three people who nearly fit.
Data & analytics
Data engineers, analytics engineers and BI developers.
Cloud & DevOps
AWS and Azure engineers who keep release day boring.
Application development
Engineers for product teams and long modernisation programmes.
QA & automation
Automation engineers and SDETs across UI, API and performance testing.
ERP & platforms
Consultants from configuration through to integration.
Security & compliance
Security engineers, IAM specialists and analysts for audit and remediation work.
How a placement runs
Five stages. You always know which one you are in.
You are told what is waiting on whom. The person on the phone at stage one is the same person at stage five.
Role brief
Skills, rate, location, start date and who signs off.
Shortlist
People we have spoken to, with our notes — not a keyword match.
Interview
Scheduling, feedback and rate negotiation handled by one person.
Onboarding
Background check, insurance certificate, paperwork, day-one access.
Running
Timesheets in, invoices out, consultant paid, letters on request.
After the placement
This is the part worth choosing an agency for.
A consultant stays on your contract when the administration around them works. We built that half first, as software, not as a spreadsheet and a good memory.
Timesheets that chase themselves
A reminder goes out before the deadline, not the week after payroll has closed.
Invoices raised on a schedule
Every approved timesheet becomes an invoice the same week, with the hours attached to it.
Employment letters
Verification, visa and mortgage letters, generated from the live record rather than retyped.
Insurance certificate on request
A current certificate goes to your client the same day they ask for it.
The network behind the placement
Direct, or through a prime vendor. Either way, you are told which.
Some of our work is direct with the end client. Much of it runs through prime vendors who hold the master agreement. We name them, because a consultant deserves to know whose paper they are on before they sign.

Send a role
Tell us the role. We will come back with names.
One conversation, no forms first if you would rather call. You will be speaking to the person who runs the placement, and they will still be the person you call in month eighteen.
Looking for a contract?
